Mosquito Net Project
Children of the Congo-Children of the World is a charitable association with the intention of improving the living conditions of the people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, specifically children. A terrible statistic is that malaria continues to kill more than 3000 African children per day. As indicated in the report by the World Health Organization, it would be extremely beneficial to use the mosquito nets to prevent the spread of the illness. Our first aim, then, is to establish in Congo, by Congolese people, a base for manufacturing these mosquito nets and distributing them to the population. The founder and promoter of this project is Jean Paul Wabotai, a Congolese artist involved in humanitarian projects since 1993. He has been actively engaged in the International Year for the Culture of Peace (2000, UNESCO) and dedicates his art to the solidarity and the fight against poverty in Africa.
